| Benefits for Family Members of U.S. Military |
The Obama administration recently announced a program that allows immigration officers to "parole in place"
the parents, spouses, and minor children of U.S. Military members.
U.S. Military includes Active Members of the U.S. Armed Forces, Individuals in the Selected Reserve of the
Ready Reserve or individuals who previously served in the U.S. Armed Forces or the Selected Reserve of the
Ready Reserve. The policy allows relatives of these member who are in the U.S. illegally to apply for legal
status without having to leave the country.
